In the Community

Scott Field

Scott Field is the old high school stadium where the Coatesville Kid Raiders (CKR) hold their football games. The Scott Field Project is a non-profit organization, for the purpose of making needed repairs and improvements to the Scott Field in Coatesville, PA. Steve Kirk, VP of Operations at GP Martini Roofing Co. is a coach and vice-President of CKR. He along with his wife, Shannon Kirk, on behalf of multiple community members, CKR parents and coaches, proposed this project to the Coatesville Area School District (CASD) school board, and successfully received approval in early, 2017,  to proceed with the much needed improvements to Coatesville's Scott Stadium, through the Scott Field Project!

GP Martini Roofing and employees volunteered some of the needed supplies and labor along with many other community businesses. Phase One then got underway to revitalize the stadium, and gave the kids a safe, beautiful place to call home.

April 22, 2017 was the first official community Field clean-up day at Scott Field. Approximately 110 community volunteers show up for the kick-off day! Volunteers worked for 10 hours, clearing debris from the entire property, ripping out the old fencing, and old bleacher benches, as well as complete demolition of the press box. The entire GP Martini Roofing crew was on deck that day, with all of their work trucks, tools, and materials. Roof technicians ripped off the roof above the press box and installed a brand new flat roof system. They patched cracks in the concrete stand walls and stairs. Even the owner, Gary Martini, was found on top of the shed on the field, ripping off the old shingles and installing a new roof. Everyone was happy to work at this charitable event for such a good cause.

“A huge thank you to all businesses and individuals who made phase one possible. A special thanks to GP Martini Roofing who not only made a $1,000 cash donation, but also provided $20,000 in materials and labor.
